    As the country welcomes a new president, we thought it would be fun to take a look at presidents and their love of golf. Brent Kelley of About.com Golf wrote an interesting blog post (http://golf.about.com/b/2008/11/07/president-elect-obama-the-new-golfer-in-chief.htm) on the topic, and he notes that “Calvin Coolidge was the worst of the golfing presidents, and that John F. Kennedy was the best. There’s no question that Dwight Eisenhower – an Augusta National member – was the most-dedicated golfer.”
    So far the general consensus is that President Elect Obama is a so-so golfer. Check out this YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5vQ2bNmAJY) of his swing. What do you think? I guess he’ll have to prove his skills both on the course and off!

    Golf_island_logo_black_square Is there a way to help me line my putter up to correctly?

    When putting a method that most tour players use is to pick an intermediate target on the green between your ball and the hole. This may be a spot on the green such as an old ball mark, difference in the color of the green or other small spots that stand out. The intermediate target will be the line that you want the ball to travel on based on how the putt breaks. Sometimes on longer putts you can pick two targets and play connect the dots when you putt. This should help you start the ball on line off the putter and you will find yourself making more putts.
